Abstract
David Snyder, a trend analyst and Life Styles Editor of the Futurist states sales via the Internet totaled $6 billion in 1998 and could reach $300 billion by 2002. He says the use of the Internet is doubling every 100 days and people are getting more comfortable conducting transactions over the use of branding to make products and services and images stand out. A strong brand can transcend the product by tapping into consumer needs. In fact, organizations would be wise to think in terms of global brands to take advantage of economies of scale. This article addresses the issue of branding on the Web to create a positive image and strong relationships with and among consumers.
