Abstract
The faculty at West Waterloo High School is presently on a two-year curriculum study. and in the past four or five months I've had the opportunity to visit a number of speech directors and talk to them about their speech course offerings. In talking to them about their Independent Study courses, it was found that the schools which offered them all had one thing in common--modular scheduling. With this type of scheduling it is relatively easy to offer more speech courses to the students because more time is available to them for classes. With the use of resource centers, students who wish to study speech independently can do so with a great deal of information at their disposal.
