Abstract
Designing learning experiences for the high school student in the area of nonverbal communication can very often be a frustrating experience for the classroom teacher. The primary task is to design an experience which will raise the consciousness of the student in such a way as to make the information integral to the everyday environment of the student. The following experiences have been found to be highly effective in attaining knowledge in the use of nonverbal communication. These experiences may be used either as a concentrated unit or spread out over a longer period of time depending on the needs and time available to the classroom teacher.
