Abstract
This is the era of the knowledge explosion and the communication revolution. Never before has so much information been so readily available with so many different media to transmit it. Never before has man been bombarded with so many different messages competing for his time, his energy, and his allegiance. The future promises that this trend will accelerate: a world of research will quadruple information and the technology of communication will find students carrying computers in their lunch pails and personalized telephones in their shirt pockets. Exaggeration, you say - maybe for today, but certainly not for tomorrow.
