Abstract

The crystal structure of SmAsS was determined from a single crystal grown using a LiCl/RbCl salt flux. Two parallel refinements in both the monoclinic space group of P21/c and the orthorhombic space group of Pnma were performed. It was determined that SmAsS crystallized in the orthorhombic space group of Pnma with the lattice parameters of a=3.8544(2) Å, b=3.9063(2) Å and c=17.1134(11) Å. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
