Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the change in the cost of financing education as a result of school district reorganization, the reorganized districts having been in operation for one or two years. More specifically, the purposes of the study are as follows: (1) to compare the cost of financing a reorganized school with the cost of financing the individual schools involved in the reorganization, (2) to determine whether the changes, if any, were in the general fund, schoolhouse 2 fund, or the special courses fund, (3) to determine the change in costs which would have resulted due to the increases in teachers' salaries whether a district reorganized or not, (4) to determine the change in the total cost per pupil, (5) to determine the change in the current expense per pupil, (6) to determine the change in the millage rate, (7) to determine the change in assessed valuation per pupil, and (8) to determine the change in the state and federal aid received.
