Project Summary

March is Women’s History Month. Throughout March, Northern Iowa Feminists will be holding the annual collection drive called the Red Basket Project. Our goal is to collect menstrual products for Embark and Friends of the Family. Unfortunately, many homeless shelters and food banks lack these important hygiene products for women and families. The Red Basket Project is our way of giving back to the community and helping women. In 2017, we donated over 60 boxes of menstrual products to Cedar Valley Friends of the Family.
