Abstract
Monthly collections of diatoms and water chemistry analyses were made on two drainage tiles which discharge into Big Spirit Lake, Dickinson County, Iowa. The study ran from April until October, 1971. A total of 119 taxa from 29 genera were identified. Five taxa are previously unpublished in Iowa literature.
